Used Corny Keg 19L - Taller / Thinner type

£45.00
Item is in stock Hurry, Only 6 Left! Item is out of stock Item is unavailable

We have a new type of used keg!

They are the taller / thinner type (same dimensions as our new 19L Kegland kegs).

Each keg comes with a O ring seal kit so you can put new seals on yourself (we haven't changed them).

99% of the kegs have been used to dispense carbonated water in Europe so are clean inside.

Like our other reconditioned / used kegs we have put them into different grades.

All these kegs are guaranteed to be:

  • gas tight
  • free from welds
  • rubber leaves no marks on surfaces
  • clean on the outside and inside*

*99% of kegs have been used to dispense carbonated water (and so may contain a small amount of water). A small number have been used for other drinks - these are available to buy at a discounted rate (see option) - but you will definitely need to clean them.

We sort all the reconditioned kegs we receive into categories dependent on their condition (as below). We were the first UK online seller of kegs to do this.

Used Superior grade kegs

  • No welds or significant dents in the walls of the keg or the base.
  • The lid is in great condition and the lid opening isn't significantly damaged or bent.
  • Rubber is in great condition and doesn't leave any marks on surfaces / hands.
  • No Stickers - There may be very small amounts of sticker residue (from the stickers we have removed) left on the outside of the keg.

Used Standard grade kegs - as the superior kegs but with one or more of these issues:

  • No welds but more significant dents to the base or the walls of the keg
  • No Stickers - but larger amounts of sticker residue (from the stickers we have removed) left on the outside of the keg.

Used Stickered Keg - Standard / Superior - these kegs will be either standard or superior grade (pot luck) but come with a variety of stickers:

  • Rubber is in great condition and doesn't leave any marks on surfaces / hands.
  • Kegs have branded stickers - the photos shows only some of the sticker designs - we think in most cases the stickers enhance the look of the keg and can usually removed quite easily if you don't want the sticker.
  • Apart from stickers they will as standard or superior above

Used Keg - needs cleaning - Standard / Superior - these kegs have been used to dispense drinks other than water and will have some residue inside. They will need cleaning and may have stickers on them. They are both superior and standard quality.

  • Rubber is in great condition and doesn't leave any marks on surfaces / hands.
  • Kegs have been pressure tested.
  • Kegs will likely have residues of drinks such as fruit juice, wine, cider inside. Outside of gas not been cleaned.
  • Kegs will likely have stickers on (see description of stickered kegs).
  • Great alternative if you don't mind doing some deep cleaning your keg before use.

Kegs are all branded - made in Europe or the USA.

All kegs are the same size.

Kegs are ball lock.

Size of keg is:

Height - 63cm

Diameter - 21 cm

and 18.9 Litre capacity

Brewing frequently asked questions

How long does it take to brew beer?

The time it takes to brew beer can vary, but on average, the process takes about 4 to 6 weeks. This includes the various stages such as malting, mashing, boiling, fermenting, conditioning, and bottling. However, some beer styles may require longer aging periods for optimal flavor development.

Is home brewing worth it?

Many people find home brewing to be a rewarding and enjoyable hobby, allowing them to create unique and customised beers. It provides a deeper understanding of the brewing process and offers the opportunity to experiment with different ingredients and styles. Additionally, home brewing can be cost-effective in the long run compared to purchasing craft beers. However, it requires time, effort, and a certain level of commitment. Whether it's worth it ultimately depends on one's passion for brewing and the satisfaction derived from the process and the end product.

Is home brewing legal?

Home brewing for personal use is generally legal, and there is no need for a specific license as long as certain conditions are met. Home brewers are allowed to produce beer, wine, and cider for personal consumption. However, there are limits on the amount that can be brewed without a license. As of January 2022, the limits were 100 litres for beer and 100 litres for wine per household.

It's important to stay informed about any updates or changes in the regulations, so it's advisable to check with local authorities or brewing associations for the most current information regarding home brewing laws in the UK. Always ensure that you comply with the relevant regulations and guidelines to enjoy home brewing within the legal framework.
